Contract Executive Finance Strategy-Planning

Job Description


  • Provide background analysis and data mining to support the development of short and long term strategic objectives and goals in order to achieve TAR&H’s vision and mission.
  • Assist the team to ensure the understanding and implementation of TAR&H’s strategic and operational objectives by respective department heads (“HOD”).
  • Provide analysis to screen/clear investment proposals/partnership opportunities to determine suitability for TAR&H’s involvement including preparation of financial models, EXCO and Board papers, management reports and presentations.
  • Perform and present industry and market research to enable a smoother decision making process for the VP/SVP.
  • Periodically monitor the performance of the Company against the approved strategic objectives and goals.
  • Participate in other functions of the department including corporate finance and corporate exercises including reorganisation and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, listing and/or fund raising exercises as required.

Job Requirements


  • Business/ Finance/ Commerce (Marketing background can be considered if backed up with proven financial and commercial experience, knowledge and business acumen).
  • 3-5 years working experience from either an investment, portfolio management, research, corporate finance, corporate strategy OR management consulting background; coverage of the leisure, theme park, or hotel industry would be a very strong advantage.
  • Strong financial and analytical mindset – ability to construct, navigate and understand a financial model for a business proposition.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills is a must with experience in Excel – an ability to understand and construct a project and equity financial model utilising DCF and PE multiple techniques, with an understanding of debt components, cash flows, investment returns and IRR.
  • Ability to draft comprehensive and concise reports, memos, EXCO/Board papers and investment proposals and detailed presentations using Powerpoint and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team within the unit and across internal department and external parties/stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates initiative and follows up on outstanding matters/issues.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Corporate Strategy/Top Management or equivalent.
