Job Description

  • Oversee and be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen.
  • Training and development of new and existing employees/students.
  • Produce high quality dishes following established recipes and standards.
  • Develop new recipes from time to time.
  • Prepare and cater food for parties/events as may be required.
  • Ensure that food is cooked and served in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistent with outlet requirements.
  • Administer, inspect and control stocks and inventory to minimize wastage.
  • Manage ordering and stock inventory appropriately.
  • Involve in the creative processes and suggest improvements for development of the kitchen and overall cafe.

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Professional Certificate/Diploma/Advance Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • Great interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Familiar with industry's best practices.
  • Enjoy working with young people
  • Able to work in shifts, public holidays and weekends
