Sunsuria Group had diversified into the property development business in late 2013 with the acquisition of a development project known as “Trivio” and a parcel of development land for a mixed development known as “Suria Residence”.   The Company subsequently changed its name from Malaysia Aica Berhad to Sunsuria Berhad in 14 May 2014 with the intention to leverage on the prestigious “Sunsuria” brand name which has grown into a multi-faceted and well-established brand name in Malaysia with over 20 years of proven track record delivering innovative, high value and quality developments.   Sunsuria Berhad (formerly known as Malaysia Aica Berhad) was listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad since 7 March 1984 and its principal activities was manufacturing of engineering wooden doors, wooden frames, prefabricated doors and fire rated doors and granting of hire purchase financing. On 20 January 2014, the shareholders of the Company had approved the diversification of the Company’s core business to include property development. Since then, the property development business has become the major revenue and profit contributor for the Group.
