Job Purpose:

LECTURER, LAW
To ensure students receive the highest standard of guidance in ensuring their academic success and personal growth

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Undertake the following responsibilities and duties:

Lecturer

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials and any form of teaching related assignments as required by the programme which includes online learning platforms.
  • Prepare teaching & learning materials such as notes, study manuals and related resources in alignment to the established curriculum
  • Prepare, mark and moderate exam papers (offline & online)
  • Review and update lesson plans as deemed necessary
  • Act as an invigilator for examinations (as assigned by the programme/institution)
  • Provide consultations to students who need academic support.
  • To support the programme in intervention initiatives for students who have failed their exams.
  • To act as advisors for student clubs and societies when needed
  • To assist with marketing efforts by explaining the subject matter and the benefits of the course when needed
  • To integrate technology into sessions to further enhance student learning.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master’s in Education or equivalent in relation to the programme assigned to.

· At least 2 years of working experience in higher education.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

· Strong interpersonal skills are essential in the dealings with students, parents and staff.

· Experience working in a busy and demanding environment.

· Able to work independently and against tight deadlines.
