Intern - Kitchen/Sushi Bar

RM1,200 - RM1,600 monthly

Job Description

  1. Assist chefs with preparation of ingredients and daily mise-en-place

  2. Support sushi chefs during service (cleaning, preparation, plating tasks)

  3. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen/sushi bar

  4. Follow all food-handling and safety procedures

  5. Learn and practise Japanese fine-dining standards

  6. Support smooth kitchen operations and team communication

  7. Perform any tasks assigned by senior chefs to ensure quality and consistency

Job Requirements

  • Students currently pursuing Culinary Arts / Hospitality / F&B programmes

  • Strong interest in Japanese cuisine or fine-dining

  • Positive attitude, humble, willingness to learn

  • Punctual, disciplined, and respectful toward kitchen hierarchy

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • No prior Japanese-kitchen experience required (training provided)

  • Malaysian citizen only
